Whether it is soft Jazz, fast pop, or even Rap, Max Ater puts his heart and soul into every note he plays. At 18 years old, Max Ater has made a splash in the Midcoast area in Maine. From his music, to his acting, and even his playwrighting, he has captivated the local audience with his fun, yet serious, attiude towards his passions.

Born in 1993, Max grew up in Bath, Maine. He lives there today, attending Morse High School where his music ambitions took a hold of his spirit through Jazz Band, Chorus, and his music classes. Currently, he plans to graduate in June and has big plans for the 2011 summer. He has made many connections and plans to, as he says, "Keep up what I have begun." His college plans are still in the works.

He states that "many people are out there to make it big, and that usually takes away the fun. It should not matter if you stay in a small town your whole life and never see the glory of fame if you acutally love your passion with the utmost appreciation."

Most days, you can find Max in his studio his family built in 2010, pecking away at new songs, or simply throwing things across the room in what he calls "a love/ hate relationship with music writing" When he's not playing music, Max can be found writing a new script, reading a new play, or simply sitting back and watching his favorite movie.
"I don't have the most interesting life, it's pretty normal." After saying that, he laughed, knowing that, what he does, is "beyond pretty normal." He works the day sometimes until two in the morning, mustering up new songs.
