It's not abuse, What it is though is teaching (an aggressive breed by nature) very bad habbits. I have seen many wild dogs none of which hang off trees or "lift wieghts". I have owned many breeds and with all breeds, socializing and spending time with them is the key factor to a "good" or "bad"...
