Living far enough to be in the country but close enough to visit the city. I Iive a very short distance outside the city of my youth I feel like inhabit two worlds, the city of my youth and the 17 years in the country. born a city kid I lived, i moved with my family next to my grandparents who taught me a bit about the gardening. i've been reading comics since I was five, mostly Marvel, with a constant identification with Spider-Man/ Peter Parker, Quantum Leap and Star Trek were probably some of the first science fiction I was exposed to. Ninja Turtles,G.I. Joe and Transformers cartoons as well as Thundercats and He-man were staples of my childhood. Later X-men and Spider-man of the 90's. I've been reading fantasy ( the majority) and scifi since I was a kid. I read Macross War by Jack Mckinney before I saw it as an Anime. I'm not big on natural disaster movies. Martial arts, Kungfu Monks Ninjas and Samurai have slowly seeped into culture and into me. Bruce Lee Quotes and a study of Tai Chi and Kickboxing. Mythmaking has been an interest of mine. Myth here is a story, a microcosm that reflects a quality of something greater and eternal in something temporary.
