Sorry to be picky but: "It (Richmond School) joined with the Girl's High school in 1940". Possibly it did for the duration of the Second World War but full merger didn't happen until comprehensive education happened in 1971.

I did this myself back in the seventies when I was in my teens.

It is something of a "Rite of passage" in Richmond. In Pamplona you run with the bulls, in Richmond you hurl yourself off the falls!

Another great video David. I particularly liked the way that you left the camera to "linger" after Ollie had passed (something of a trademark of yours?). It gave a real sense of the quiet and isolation of the setting. Looking at the surroundings it also made me pretty cold too!

I got my Penetration records signed when I cheekily turned up at the flat that Pauline and her then husband lived in at Ferryhill on Sunday back in, oh it must have been 1978 or 79. They were very nice and friendly, even offering me tea and biscuits and put up with me until it was time for my bus...

I am going to take a long shot here but, judging from the sound quality of this clip, did you record the themes straight from your TV onto a tape recorder at the time they were transmitted? I only ask because my brother did the same.

Thank God for the BBC. Personally I have no problem with having to pay my licence fee, given the quality of the programmes they produce and the fact that I can watch them without having to sit through endless adverts which are shown with the volume levels cranked up REALLY HIGH!

@hunkhk But that was nearly 60 years ago and the world was e very different place then. If it had happened today there would be a much better mix of the sexes.
