The New Dance Show was a television show in Detroit which ran in the late-1980s to mid-1990s on WGPR-TV 62 (now a CBS affiliate known as WWJ-TV). Hosted by R.J. Watkins, "The New Dance Show" was a local version of Soul Train that featured energetic dancers and often local music from the city's world-famous techno scene. The show was the successor to "The Scene," which aired during the late-1970s and early-1980s on the same station.

aseagris GREAT NEW DANCE SHOW VIDEO'S AND THE SCENE VIDS...from elementry to high school everybody i know watched the nd show.....eh i was wondering do you remember the rapper B.O.X. he had a rap video on the nd show or the Scene and he started the BASEBALL DANCE i went to high school at mackenzie high the 1987 the GIRLS WENT CRAZY WHEN THAT VIDEO CAME ON...but all your videos are AWESOME your videos make me miss home detroit i move to the bay area five yrs....i know so many people in your videos....dirtyglove
