Dianne Strong has been singing since she was a teenager growing up in Southern Oregon. Her musical roots began with a cappella Gospel with her sisters and in community theater. As a teenager, she toured Europe with a youth orchestra. Dianne later returned to the UK and back again, landing in Los Angeles before returning to Oregon. Along the way, she experimented with various genres, including Gospel, Broadway and Rock before she found Blues and Jazz to be her musical home. She has become a popular local performer, appearing at The Avalon Bar & Grill, The Rogue Regency Inn, Roxy Ann Winery and The Ginger Rogers/Craterian Theater. Dianne is a featured performer at the annual City of Eagle Point July 4 Celebration, and she regularly donates her talents for charitable events including the Lovejoy Hospice Heart of Summer and the American Cancer Society Relay for Life.

Dianne's current projects include being the lead singer for dance band Blue Lightning, based in Ashland, Oregon (Blue Lightning has been rocking the Rogue Valley for 18 years with no signs of slowing down!). In the fall of 2008 she joined Corren Hileman's Southern Oregon Jazz Orchestra, a 16-piece big band, as their female vocalist. She also sits in with Dave Hegdahl & Joe Chankin's group, The RCC Jazz Band.

In the fall of 2009, Dianne joined Jeff Ebnother's The After Burners. This tight three-piece band features Jeff on lead guitar, bassist Mark Cunningham of the Rhythm Kings and drummer John McMullen. The band plays a mix of blues, rock and Motown hits and originals.

With a 2.5 octave range, her style is strong, smooth and controlled like the best big band singers of the 40s, but she also has the power to belt out classic rock and blues. It is the joy that she expresses in song that makes her performances memorable. Check the artist event dates for local performance information.
