Born on the high seas I claim water as my birthright. At school I pretended to be Clive of India and ordered my fellow pupils and teachers onto reservations in order to account for the Goddesses that roamed the land. My father died when he looked down the wrong end of a loaded double barrelled shotgun. He was a romantic at heart. My mother, Helga, was a Danish pin up whose looks faded quickly in her wrought iron corsets.
It was a solitary, windswept youth. I learnt to tell the time by counting the horseflies during the summer and calculating the distance I could see in front of me squared by the time it took me to decipher it. at night. Aged 11 I taught myself to fish in small puddles. Aged 14 I taught myself to speak fluently in 6 different languages and listen, witrhout the aid of ivory ballbearings, in two.
Aged 15 I fell in love for the first time with my truancy officer. It was unrequited and she still has the welts to show for it.
Aged 18 I entered Servants College for the pasty elite. I was too sunburnt to truly qualify and had to attend classes for the first year covered head to foot in chalk. How I longed to be in those educational establishments where charcoal could be used liberally on ones stigmatised flesh.
Whilst at Servants I met and eventually married Ingrid Lydia Housan who claimed direct patrilineage from our housemaster. He firmly denied all the rumours and sucked in his cheeks.
We spent a sabbatical year together in Uganda. I hunted and she gamed.
On our return to our alma mater matters had changed in the cloakrooms and flocks of geese could only be looked at without averting one's gaze between the hours of ten and twelve on Sundays. This was a house rule that led many a stray waif to forfeit unbruised limbs.
At last we graduated and went to live as embalmists in the northern Mariana islands, but not before coming under the influence of professor of parapsychogical design Dr Melz Windham Thardonheltz.. We set about the islands and transformed them within a generational divide.
Moving to Vienna we moved in with the Hotspring liberals and worked up a steam to last all saunas.
Recently I have been engaged in writing a book on non-invasive lobotomies.
