If you can't napp stone like flint or basalt you can heat stone in fire and throw it in cold water, sometimes they crack. I've been told that if you use rocks found under water they contain some water and might crack in the fire when the water turns into steam.

Obviously you have to clean the insert just like a barrel, but do you think that it will make it easyer to clean the actual gun cause alot of residue gets caught in the insert?
