Artie Clear, born Arthur Clearfield, grew up in picturesque Bucks County, Pennsylvania. At just 12 years old, Artie would find himself pitching in a state championship baseball game. Artie's pitching led the team to a state championship title winning by a 4-0 shutout. Thus was an oddly presenient moment in Artie's young life, but it was merely the beginning for this young sports fan.
Growing up, Artie idolized legendary baseball great Roberto Clemente from the Pittsburgh Pirates and NFL football legend Gail Sayers from the Chicago Bears. Artie's favorite sports memory was in 1983 when "Dr. J" Julius Erving from the Philadelphia 76ers basketball team leaped up in the air over the head of Michael Cooper scoring a slam dunk! This historical maneuver would later be known as "rocking the baby", and would forever be emblazoned in Artie's mind. Artie admits his most disappointing sports memory was in 1977 when the Philadelphia 76ers basketball team lost to the Portland Trailblazers.
Today Arthur is a fan of all the local Philadelphia sports teams, and also a self-proclaimed expert on all Philly teams. Power hitter first baseman Ryan Howard from the former world champion Philadelphia Phillies is admittedly Arties all-time favorite athlete. Artie resides in Burlington, New Jersey with his beautiful wife Joan, who is also the executive producer for "The Artie Clear Show". Whether eating a steak with the team owners or enjoying a hot dog with the fans, Artie is an animated individual whose style and personality are infectious. Artie is a down-to-earth type of guy who would give you the shirt off his back and never think twice about it. Interviewing Allen Iverson or just chatting about Andy Reid, you are sure to enjoy two hours of sports power with Artie Clear!

If your traveling through Philadelphia, tune your radio dial to WIFI 1460 AM or listen live on your computer at www.wifiam1460.com, to hear the voice of one of Philly's up and coming new sportscasters - Artie Clear, of "The Artie Clear Show"!. The show currently airs Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 5pm to 7pm, as well as Tuesday 3pm to 5pm, and Thursday 6pm to 8pm. Artie does a live broadcast each and every Friday from 5pm to 7pm at the South Philly Bar and Grill (between Pat & Geno's!).
