Almost 2 years it took to complete the second album "CAFFEINE". With Shamangi's voice still taking a leading roll, the influence of producer Maxim can still be clearly heard. Sometimes it seems as if he is taking every instrument through the mangler, to let the beauty of the instrument speak for itself a few moments later. The addition of guitar and live drums and the ever rolling bass lines of Thijs Willemsen give this album a rocking edge. With "CAFFEINE", Artefact presents us a true mash-up of funk, dance, and rock. A real powerful album, although still accompanied by the sensitive vibe that made Artefact famous.
