Victoria Paikin was born in Ukraine in 1980. At the age of ten Victoria and her family immigrated to Israel. Victoria studied fine arts and history of arts between ages 12 to 18. After finishing high school Victoria joined the Israeli army for 21 months which is a compulsory for every Israeli citizen. After military service she had studied 4 years to become Registered Nurse with Bachelor degree and graduated successfully.
Victoria was in a loving lesbian relationship and became a mom. Immigration to a new country at young age and being in a religious and strict country lead to intolerance that Victoria experienced from surrounding people including friends and family. This combined with Israelis reality of war and terror attacks changed Victorias perception of the world forever and left her heart broken. Life took its toll and Victoria couldnt touch a brush and paint for years.
In October 2007 Victoria, her partner and their son immigrated to Canada. After a year in Canada, Victoria felt relaxed and happy, free from Israeli everyday news, found new friends and she could reconnect to herself once again. All Victorias experiences in life influenced her and she developed unique philosophy on life and the world surrounding her. Victoria could express all her experience and inspirations in her paintings and started to create again. At present time Victoria is a full time mom and artist. Her goal is to open minds of individuals and bring tolerance to different points of view. Victoria wishes to empower people through her art.
