On Dec. 3 (2011) I attended an all request performance by RT and requested this piece. Luckily he chose my (or someone else's request). As expected it was absolutely magnificent. What an artist!

My reaction to this song is different from Stevie Nicks description. I'm sure we've all met someone we loved that we thought of as one in a million. But that person doesn't feel the same about you. She is as unreachable as the sky. That's what this song means to me.

The so called music is awful and takes away from the video.

I don't understand those who think a great guitarist is someone who can play fast. It would be easy enough to build a machine to play a guitar very fast - faster than any person. But artistry requires a thinking feeling person. Gilmour's solo is a work of art!

I love the song but I have to say that movie making has come a long way - the video portion is awfully silly.

RT's playing is wonderful but this solo is not one of my favorites. What I really like about the song though are the lyrics and his interpretation of them.
