The European Union (EU) is a family of democratic European countries, committed to working together for peace and prosperity. In the increasingly interdependent world of the 21st century, it is more necessary than ever for every European citizen to work together with people from other countries in a spirit of curiosity, openness and solidarity.

Since 1994 over three milion people have dead from starvation in north Korea.
The need is great. Yet,it seems that little can be done.
The secrecy that surrounds the North Korea state has only added to the issue.
More than 13 milions nord koreans suffer from malnutrition.
Among the children,60% suffer from lack of nurishment.
It is estimated that over 200.000 children live on streets of North Korea.
Many have risked being killed in am effort to escape to neighbor China.
The UN is currently running the largest food aid program ever reeding 7.5 milion North koreans. Yet,to often the government doesn't allow the to go to those who really need it the most.
Many in North Korea have been forced into labor camp, which the governement denies exist.
In the past few years, many basic right have been taken from the north Korea people.
Yet,the world continues on many not even knowing of the situatio in North Korea. Many of the poor have been overlooked by the North Korea governement.
Because of this, many foreign aid agencies have pulled support out of Nort Korea.
