My third cover from All I Was, and this might actually be my favorite song from the album, its the current single - So You're Afraid. This is Tremonti doing metal, and uses riffs he wrote for his instructional DVD. The introduction riff is one of my favorite things to play, and then it breaks into this speed-metal bridge before flying off the hook with the solo.

I did all the guitar parts for this, but only recorded video for Tremonti's parts. Because of the different camera angles, I did record the parts before, and this is the first time that I've had to do multiple takes on a Tremonti solo. It took me almost 50 to get this one right. I played the song in C# standard instead of Drop C# as most of the covers do - its just as easy to play, and its the only way to play the solo the same way. You'll notice that the solo that I'm playing in the solo is different to whats recorded. Thats only because I prefer to never play a solo the same way twice.

As usual, I used my PRS Tremonti II for both guitar parts, and used my standard POD HD400 patches to get my tone, although I had to turn down the drive because the lower tuning combined with still using 10's meant I was getting a lot of bass.

Equipment
PRS Tremonti II 2012 - McCarty Tobacco Sunburst
PRS (D'Addario) 10's
POD HD400
Morley Mark Tremonti Power Wah
PRS Purple (Heavy?) Pick
Adobe Audition + Premiere Pro CS5.5

Tuning = C# Standard - Step and a half down (Db Gb B E Ab Db)

Performed, Mixed and Edited by Arjuna Kankipati
