@TheAirsoftSoldier81 We (the shelter I volunteer at) don't recommend ferrets for families with children under 5. That's for the safety of the child and the ferret.

@niefali Usually ferrets don't chew on wires like a hamster would, but that doesn't mean that there aren't some that might.

@foxylilmimi Ferrets eat meat, they need a high quality, high protein food. Totally Ferret is a really good one it can be found in some pet stores. The litter is actually wood pellets like for a wood stove. You can get a 40 pound bag for about $5. Or you can use a litter called Yesterdays News.
