This song is beautiful and the lyrics are truly perfect; simple and direct and no word is wasted. While all of his songs are great, with this and Mama's Eyes he has surpassed even his venerable father's songwriting.

this just gets better with each listen. the first line that convinced me this was not just a good song, but an epically good song was, "your whole life has been a race; between a pillow and a pretty soft place; you're not that tired." i love it.

this song is a pristine gem. i think it is my favorite alela tune, which is saying a lot. the lyrics are just too good - "meet me where the snowmelt flows; it is there my dear where we'll begin again; skipping stones, braiding hair; last year's antlers mark the trail"

wow - i love all your dylan covers on youtube, but this one is particularly special and unique in the way you capture the nostalgic feel of the song. i'd enjoy a cover of bob dylan's dream, another nostalgic tune!
