Not sure about the braids...but trout have damn good eyesight. Braids are risky for dry fly. I know, 7x is like 2lb test or something ridiculously small. It will work...just play your fish carefully and with a drag setting appropriate for the lb tippet. Fluorocarbon tippet really shines for dropper nymphs...since the line sinks faster. Its really a great nymphing line. Tell me about the trout water you fish? I mostly fish GA trout.
