Nineteen-year-old freeskier Alex Schlopy takes you on a tour through his hometown of Park City, Utah, from the first rail he scoped out in town to the house he grew up in. Fast forward to his banner breakout season, and get his take on winning X Games, then World Championships then Dew Tour and landing his first switch upright 14 in competition. Since the first day he landed it by accident, he's been working on that trick.
Summertime is all about golfing, hitting the skatepark and riding his dirtbike. The key is keeping up the progression, and Alex takes us into the USSA Center of Excellence in Park City, where he stays on top of his tricks with state-of-the art foam pits, trampolines and even a skatepark. A few time lapses I shot on a recent trip to Las Vegas. I shot these with a Canon T2i and a TC-80N3a time lapse controller. I used a 35mm f/1.4L for the first one and an 8mm Peleng fisheye lens for the rest.
The third one was shot from the top of the Eiffel Tower and the last one was from the 23rd floor of the MGM Signature tower 1.
