Matthew Cook is an artist from Humboldt County in Northwestern California. His music tells stories and paints moods that inspire and resonate with the listener.

Redwood Reflections is a solo piano portrait of a day trip through the majestic redwoods of the Northern California Coast. From the first footstep into the stillness of the forest with morning fog swirling, the listener is taken deeper into the mighty forest to a place of calm sanctuary. An exhilarating flight over the canopy and a bubbling descent down a waterfall is followed by a triumphant return down the mountainside. Redwood Reflections is a vacation for your senses when you just don't have the time to get away.

A recent project is a guitar/vocal album titled Another Piece Of Me. The title track was written when the artist was going through some major changes in his life. The message is about how we leave pieces of ourselves behind as we moove through life. Some of them you never want to see again, while we find we have to go back and reconnect with others.

Matthew Cook is still very active with his art, creating new music and performing over 200 times each year.
