About this user

I was born and raised in Shkoder, Albania. Since my childhood, music has been my great passion. For 8 years I studied the violin at Prenk Jakova Secondary School for Music. I was fortunate enough to be in the group Tring Zilja when it was formed many years ago. Very soon I began to sing, and my aim in life was to be famous through music. My favourite music, and my idols were The Beatles. I lived for this dream - to be like them, but the reality was that inside of me there was big struggle. There was a deep emptieness there and I was unable to answer the many questions that I had, regarding what this life had to offer me. The fact (which I had been taught in Communist atheistic school) that one day I would die and there would be a nothingness forever, was totally unacceptable to me. I could not accept that in all this creation and great universe, the end of my life would be an eternal nothing! I was convinced that there was Creator behind this whole existence even though I had no idea who He was!
I asked myself.
Why does everyone who is born die?!
If there is a Creator who is eternal in His existence, then what will happen to me in eternity?!
These were questions that I had, but could find no answer.
My soul struggled with these issues, and made me anxious, crying out for an answerbut there was nowhere to find an answer. ( I now look back and realise that my cries were really a prayer to the Creator that I did not know He heard me and answered my prayer!)

When communism fell, and Albania opened its borders, my desire was to finally know the God, whom I had been forbidden to believe but unfortunately religion remained an outer part of my life. It is true that religion can make you a good person and to do good works, but I already believed that this was the kind of life I was already living!!

I could not accept the fact that to really know God, a sinner like me, needed a mediator!
Disillusiioned, I decided to forget about God when He was ready to reveal Himself to me, then I would be ready to listen and accept Him.
However, it was not long until I got the Word of God, the Bible given to me.
I began to read it and very quickly I began to understand the message, to understand first of all that I was a sinner, to know God, the Creator of all life, and Jesus, the One that God had sent to save me from my sins and to give to me eternal life!
I was worried that maybe all of these thoughts were only mans ideas as many who had come to Albania to tell of Gods love had spoken to me and helped me to understand Gods Word but all the time there was a voice inside of me asking me to accept this gift.
It was for this that Jesus had loved me and come and taken my punishment and died for my sins.
Again I asked myself
Why should I not accept such a wonderful gift!?
The devil did not want me to do this, and for some time i struggled with thoughts that were real obstacles to faith, but then I surrendered to the Lord Jesus, opening my life to Him and choosing Him to be my Lord and Saviour.
That was the most beautiful day of my life, the most beautiful song!
Since then, it is true I have had struggles, I have fallen, at times I have made promises to my Lord and i have not kept them, but He has remained faithful in His promises to me.
Since the day I gave my life to Him, He has given me strength, peace and a certain future. The Lord has given me the blessed hope that one day I will live in His presence - together with Him forever!

The words of David in one his psalms is true for my own life
I waited patiently for the Lord to help me and He turned and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire. He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along. He has given me a new song to sing, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see what He has done and be amazed. They will put their trust in God. Psalm 40:1-3
