Aramis David aka. Mr. Guyanese is the latest up and coming sensation on the UK Hip hop scene. Born on 10th September 1989, he hails from the vibrant reefs of Guyana. Here is a wealth of various musical cultures such as Shanto, Calypso, Indo-Carribean, Latin and Brazilian, a combination of which enhanced Aramis' appreciation of music as an art.
He first realised that his destiny lie in a similar realm of symphonic utopia as a young boy of 9, playing the recorder in Barbados, where he was schooled in Primary education. There, the dominant genre of Soca music had a patent impact on him, bringing artists such as Rupee, Lil Rick and dancehall/reggae artists such as Sean Paul, Beresford Hammond and Mr.Vegas. Being of the 'New School' era, Aramis also grew up being influenced by contemporary artists such as Jagged Edge, Usher and 112 and he cites hip hop high flyers like Kanye west, Drake, Lil Wayne, Jay-Z, Rick Ross and Kardinal Offishall, as his main influences today.

Despite then migrating to the less tropical Isle of England in his adolescence, Aramis never lost his passion for music; susceptible to bouts of inspiration, he is seldom seen without his notepad and pen, jotting down lyrical gems with an incomparable eloquent flair, as and when. No stranger to hard work, Aramis constantly puts the hours into lengthy recording studio sessions; the end product being bangers such as 'Pass out -- dancehall remix' and'Love is all we need',each track stamped with a flavour that can only be imitated, but never duplicated!

When asked of his highest aim at this point in the game, the artist cooly replies "world domination, I want to reach for the stars and grasp them". True to name, Aramis David exudes a dangerous allure that makes him irresistible to the ladies. With a tantalizingly gruff voice, compared to that of Dancehall's very own 'Aidonia', he makes every woman go weak at the knees. From saucy singletons to middle-aged Matriarchs, they all want a piece of him -- and it's not hard to see why.

A keen philanthropist, Aramis wants to open doors for other up and coming Guyanese artists, "there is definitely a gap in the market for fresh, raw talent and, given the required attention and appropriate investment, the music industry in Guyana could boom, creating a wealth of opportunities...I want to help invest".

'Starlight Music Academy' (SMA) has been instrumental in helping to catapult Aramis into the music industry. Since 1997, 'Starlight Music Academy' has been pioneering innovative programmes designed to develop individuals with an interest in succeeding in the music industry. With the help of SMA, Aramis has been infiltrating the live performance circuit, fast becoming the name of everybody's lips. You may have seen him performing at this year's 'Lambeth Country Show' at Brockwell Park, 'Brixton Splash', 'Carnival de Pueblo', 'Playvibez Sunday', 'Levi Roots' Reggae Reggae Funday' or at your daughter's prom; at just 20 years of age, Aramis continues to go from strength to strength, with no signs of slowing down.
