About Me:
I first heard AC/DC as an 11 y.o, when my brother-in-law first came to our house with a copy of 'If You Want Blood', it ignited in me something that can't be put out. The energy, the rock-a-boogie riffs and the sound of Bon's voice, it's still my favourite album. I have played an AC/DC album most days for the last 30 years!
I saw them again with afore mentioned bro-in-law at Wembley, I nearly cried when it was over! lol.
It was because of them that I wanted a guitar, I saved and bought a reasonable second-hand one when I was 15 and stuck at it for a few years until work and college took over. I now have the time to practice properly and have played most days for the last 3 years or so and am dedicated to one day being quite good at it.
Much thanks and appreciation must go to Fil, SoloDallas. His lessons have shown how to emulate Angus' tone, expression, and vibrato vibrato vibrato!
I and thousands of others are very grateful, Vivo Filippo!
Feb 19th will be the 30th anniversary of Bon Scott's death, what a rotten day. He would have been 65 this year, I wonder what kind of shape he'd have been in! Greatest Rock 'n' Roll singer and frontman ever for me.
AC/DC have been fortunate to have Brian and carry on, it's now over 30 years with him! Although I prefer Bon's voice, Brian is still a great singer too. Most people know Bon's comments about him, try listening to some of the Geordie stuff from the '70's, he was brilliant, the natural replacement.
Thanks for looking in, friends welcomed, Rob.
