Yes, the black was screened on. I used Nazdar 59000 series enamel, which is made for painting on metal. I used it straight out of the can, with no thinning, and even that was a little too thin. In a couple of places it spread a bit and I had to wipe very carefully with tissue and a little thinner to neaten the edge of the number. Next time I do one I'll let the paint sit out and thicken before I screen.

I was very interested in the video you posted on the license plate, could you tell me what was that last step you did when you spread the paint? When you did the numbers was that a silk screen??
