I made this channel i honor of the fastly rising band "delain". they are a dutch progressive and female fronted symphonic metal band (if you want the full genre XD)
I originally only made this channel to upload their new album, in the hope to create more fans:P.
i've actually become even more and more enthousiastic about the band, so i decided to make some playlists and stuff in this channel.

For the people that don't know delain so well:
Their first album is called Lucidity. this was in the beginning just a project. martijn and charlotte gathered famous metalartists from diffrent bands to write and record this album. the album includes songs with:
- Marco (Nightwish)
- Liv (Leaves Eyes)
- Ad (Ex-Epica)
- Sharon (Within Temptation)
- George (Ex-Orphanage)
its a very symphonic and epic combo.

Their new album is called April Rain:
After the major succes of their first album, martijn and charlotte decided to gather their own bandmembers and make the band Delain official. So in this album there are some new writers, and they used marco again for some songs, he's most people's favorite:P.

I am so enthousiastic about their lyrics, cause they mean a lot to me personally, for example:

"april rain" pretty much tells me about the time i was very depressed because i had been through a lot in my life till then, wich caused me to always look down, always only see the bad things in life. I learned a few years ago to look up, look around me, see the beauty and chances in life and grab them. that turned my whole personality around, i know how to create my own luck now, and this song explains it perfectly. that's why i recently tattood "fortune smiles on you" on my backshoulder.

"virtue and vice "reminds me of the problems i used to have with religion. im raised a catholic, but the problem was I'm gay. and many people say i'm going to hell for being gay. virtue and vice tells me the way i see it: we dont know whats coming after death, we can only believe in stuff but never know for sure. so all we can really do is live the way our heart and gut tells us is right and we'll see what awaits us.

As for the recommended video to your right, it's my best friend, Claudia Dumee. she sings in her current band "no regret", she has an incredible voice and can do the soft voice you hear in the vid, but also soprano voice. her favorite songs to sing are "power to the women"-songs, like pink and paramore. Her biggest idol in singing and life is Sharon den Adel, she would also like to go her way in singing. Don't try to find their band on the internet cause they dont have a contract yet, this is the only recordings online from Claudia.
