my only point is that it seems that Friedman's argument is that we are not as bad as the soviet union. free market capitalism is riddled with flaws but he seems to only focus on who is better; it seems like he is making the point of how stealing is ok because there is a murderer on the loose

@skin5011 If you're against socialism thats fine, but these people seem to be demanding the end of big businesses influence over the government which seems like a good idea. With the system we have now, the government bails out a company no matter how inefficient they are. Its very similar to Sov...

@MlLKMAN again the question to ask is not why these people are acting like idiots, its what events caused them to get angry in the first place; the same is true about the tea party, why are right wing zealots and liberal bums both getting angry?

Capitalism is not the system of success and wealth as everyone says. We see capitalism every day with all the products and wealth but thats because we're on the good side of the deal. You go around the world and you'll see millions of people in complete slavery from working for capitalism. Go ask...

People always want to point at Stalin and Mao as an example of why communism is a horrible idea, but no one ever talks about Benito Mussolini or Imperial Japan or even Adolf Hitler who was openly against the communists in Germany and had most of them executed. So to say that a system doesn't work...
