And then know what it is.
Love is not something you can see lying on the sidewalk,
You cannot just pick it up and run away with it.
Love is not something you can even begin to describe,
With a pencil and piece of paper.
Love is what you feel, a description,
of when your hands are shaking
and your belly is full of butterflies.
Love is when you want somebody so much,
You would give everything just to be with them.
You are willing to give up on everything you know,
and travel into the great unknown just to follow them.
You put all of your trust in them
and hope that they do the right thing with it.
You give them your heart, your wholeself,
And wonder if they will treat it like glass, so fragile.
Love is when you want to spend the rest of
forever with the person.
Love cannot be rubbed away or broken down,
Love cannot be dulled, it is not grey.
Love is vibrant, with hues that the average person
would need to share with somebody else.
