of course the engine has been around longer than the mk2 mr2. but it has also been in many other markets than just the US and Japan. the turbo was never available here in the uk, we got the 3sge 118bhp, 158bhp and 174bhp...

@mysock351W no it doesnt. ok a bit of fuel does, but its negliagable. the advantages in boost and power far out weigh the little bit of fuel thats lost through the exhaust.

i had a 3 door 1300cc 309. i had the full pusport exhaust, bigger carb, cam, gaz suspension and loads of other stuff... i got 90.5hp out of mine.

then i got a miami blue 309 GTI 3door. the bestc ar i have ever driven and i have owned a full group N spec micra 1300 and now have a Toyota MR2 mk2 2....

not canards im affraid. that is a foreplane, much like a eurofighter Typhoon. a canard equiped aircraft moves the canards independantly. if they move together they are simply called a Foreplane...
