The UK is not a democracy, a vote changes nothing, it merely elects another career politician (new liar).
The career aspect of politics must be completely removed.
The UK economy has three main problems, the loss of manufacturing to China over many years, the methods by which banks operate and the latent oil crisis.
Fractional reserve banking used by private banks is fraud. Only the peoples government should possess the power to create money and used only in times of war and great economic troubles, like now.
I agree with Steve Keen's idea in limiting mortgage amounts by tying them to a multiple of the properties notional rentable income, this helps maintain a sustainable and healthy wealth gap (not pay gap).
The commodity futures modernisation act of 2000 perpetuates fraud. Speculation must be backed with real assets, no leverage or artificially created 'paper napkin' securities.
The commodity derivatives market is another potential financial bubble in the making and should be highly regulated.
The bank bailouts marked the point where the UK went from capitalism to facism.
Economically the UK and the US are quite similar.
The secret money printing by the Bank of England and buying US government debt (£Billions every month) has the long term effect of tying both our currencies together during a hyperinflationary scenerio.
I believe the government in the UK and US will continue to print money for the wrong reasons, that is to support the murderous Orwellian type big lie ponzi economy, through to eventual hyperinflation.
The governments do not have the will to do what is right and moral for the people. Namely end the Fed and the Bank of England. Take the zombie banks over, split them up into smaller banks. Seperate commercial banks from investment banks. Staged increase in the capital requirements for the remaining banks and insurers. Prosecute all the 'white shoe boys' as necessary. Stop all wars of intervention. Tax religion. Replace income tax with consumption tax. Leave the NHS alone initially. Free up and reform agriculture and energy sectors. Embrace green energy and electric cars. Last but not least, the government to intervene to bring back our manufacturing as the freemarket is incapable of bringing back the lost manufacturing until either we stop trading with China or our wages compete with theirs. Focus on local production. A cultural revaluation of manual workers is required either by the freemarket via a total collapse or by morally correct government planning and control. The massive economic restructuring would be paid for with debt free printed money, this would lead to a devaluation of the pound by inflation as part of the solution. Hyperinflation would be avoided because the economy would be balanced. Private money could be attracted in restructuring. Businesses created could be sold back into the private market when suitable.
I believe the UK government will take the UK from currency wars to trade wars to the escalation of hot wars (including nuclear), hyperinflation and complete economic collapse. In the aftermath the British constitution will be written and enacted.
