@nevermindme10 Just a guess on my part , I think its Nicolette Larson . She recorded a couple of his songs in the late 70 s .

I started with my current employer in 1984 and have been fighting authority since then . Union the people who gave u weekends.

I lived in a small town until it got too crowded .damn subdivisions . Moved 3 miles away and across a river . Its just like the old town used to be . Peace and quiet .

The local classic rock station used to sneak this nugget into the playlist . Usually at 5;30 or 6;00 in the morning before the shiny happy people are up .

Brings me back to Old Orchard Beach on my way to Laconia in June 88 . First serious road trip on my first Harley and being as free as i;ve ever been in my life .

this could be the anthem of every working stiff when the economy tanks . i wonder if the' smartest guys in the room' ever consider the fallout from wars , subprime mortgages , housing bubbles and other money grabs .

Still have this on cassette . Bought it in July or August of 1981 . My first serious love had just kicked me to the curb . Whew, I dodged that bullet . I gotta hook that cassette deck up some afternoon .

This song is why I buy CDs instead of downloading a single . Every once in a great while you discover a nugget like this hiding out .Rikki Lee Jones rocks the background . Scarecrow is one of my faves .
