when I first heard this it totally floored me that after Hendrix, a guitarist was using the wah wah pedal in another mind blowing way. The syncopation in this band is as sweet at fusion gets.

I think this is the group that plays Are you the One, another mind boggling piece of music, back from the Lifetime days. It's one thing for it to be humanly possible to physically play at near lightening speed, but Mclaughlin's imagination velocity is really what separates from any other music...
