@GrimAxis the themata cd had more elements. i agree though, Karnivool and Tool have different timbre's to them... i think tool is more contemplative and karnivool is more like a story. different textures to their sounds and attitudes. i would say they could do a show together though - a damn...

you guys are my hero. i would be playing "opiate" and "eulogy" by tool and "heresy" by NIN. keep adding to this list. park a loud car next to their protests or take a boombox do something, just drown them out.

i would say they have traces of incubus tool and porcupine tree... but just traces. some of the effects, the rhythms/bass lines, and vocals respectively. all in all i think they're more themselves than anything else. makes sense to me.
