Nice piece on the rodeo. I work at the hotel that all the volunteers and officials stay at and we LOVE having these guys and gals every year. It's literally the highlight of our summer. :-) I went earlier today and it was a lot of fun. :)

We had our first dalmatian for 10 years. We had to put him to sleep ten days after his 10th birthday. It was, at that time, the hardest thing we had to do. He was an amazing dog. I swear he was a human trapped in a dog's body. I still laugh at some of his antics. Dalmatians are just wonderful pets.

Dalmatians are wonderful. We got our first one in 1994. His name was Rollee and he was so smart. It was human like intelligence. I fully expected him to start speaking English at some point.

@JonLeibow He did a concert in my town too. I think it was 1986 or 87. I think I was 6 at the time. While we were waiting for the doors to open, he came out to greet everybody. And the show itself still has me laughing almost 25 years later. He was a great icon and sorely missed.

It was sooner than 11:30. I was getting off I-75 at Huron River Dr around 11 and the sirens were going off. Regardless of the time though, it was so scary.
