Latke is called potato pancake in English. It is fried in oil. It is crispy on the outside and soft inside. It is topped with either apple sauce or sour cream. Potatoes are grated and mixed with beaten eggs, salt, a little flour to bind, and onions. It is savory.

@eblip You are correct about blacks (and the rest of us being denied the enjoyment of their talent) not being given a chance, however in 1600's and 1700's the time of classical most did not have access to the instruments.
