Anita Ordia, One of the most powerful and compelling Kathak exponent of India today, Anita Ordia is equally consummate in her mastery over the rhythm, grace, and expressional cogency. Deeply rooted in the colorful traditions of sand dunes, famous for its cultural heritage all over the country. She successfully represents and projects the whole of the environment of this princely state in her artistic creations. She is individualistic, contemporary and dynamic who is leaving behind a legacy of believing and living a personal commitment. Disciple of Padam Vibhushan Pt. Birju Maharaj and late Pt. Durga lal Ji.
Anita is Secretary of Kinkini, Academy of Performing Arts in Rajasthan, a unique centre for the arts which has performed all over India and all around the world. Here she directs the Kinkinis Performance Group; Virasat, Folk and Tribal Dance Company; Kinkini for Development; Kinkini Communications; and the Kinkini Conservatoire.
