New area, lots of smells, wayyy out of sync on Saturday, but we made up for it Sunday. Had so much fun. Thanks a ton to all the people who made it such a great weekend. Devi did an incredible job filming as always!!!! :) The only two runs she wasn't able to film were Steeplechase and Standard on Saturday. Nonetheless, my mom tried haha. Thanks to my mom for taking me, and dealing with the long wait. We ended up only have one judge so the trial ran late both evenings. Love the arena though-we'll be back for the next show there I'm sure. :) Thanks also to Megan for giving Shimmy her first Advanced Jumpers Q...I'm sure she was glad she got to keep her arms down in that run unlike saturday jumpers and standard...haha. I couldn't be more proud of Shimmer though. She handled the new environment and outside trial thing well-better than I thought she would. For some reason the dogwalk tripped her up this weekend, but we're gonna try and work on that this month and hopefully by the next show she'll be on it again like last time. Silly girlie. :) Love you Shim.

Thanks to Giuliana for sending me these. Since the file is .mov and my computer is ancient I can't edit them... :/ But, I figured I'd upload them anyway. This is the Elite Regular run on Sunday of the July trial I believe. Shimmer hadn't done the dogwalk all weekend and Elite Regular was first and miraculously she had a fabulous run. Jumpers went well to and so did weavers though you guys don't get to see how it ended-sorry! She went 6/6 that Sunday. Random doggie. :)

Thanks to Devi for making this video. Shimmer and I had such a good weekend with Devi and Fe. It was great getting to share the motel and all the other random fun moments we had. Shimmer did soooo well. I couldn't be happier with her. Though the times were insanely and ridiculously tight as always....Shimmer ran her heart out. NADAC really makes you hate them when you run a great tunnelers run without bobbles and end up being .01 overtime...yep last run of the weekend...twas a shame. Regardless, Shimmer is too pimpin for NADAC anyway.... ;) At least that's MY theory! We ended up getting our TN-O and OV with that. We still have one Elite Jumpers Q to receive for that EJC. This weekend just didn't want to give it to us. Her dogwalk problems are by no means "fixed" and they still need tons of work, but considering we only went to the field twice to practice them she did fabulous. And, the ones we practice were without discriminations-so it was expected that in both Chances runs she take the tunnel because she hadn't worked on that yet. That's our next mission-DISCRIMINATION! :) Couldn't be happier with my dog. Love her so much and can't thank her enough for allowing me to share each run with such a special little dog. She'll be 4 on Tuesday, and this really made me realize how far we've come in just the 3 years I've had her.
Some Devi Marcella moments (just for amusement):
-managing NOT to get killed while getting there
-setting up and squeezing together because there was no crate space
-not seeing the intestine... :(
-Fe recalls and me getting injured haha
-digging for tug leashes
-the motel blanket vs fever
-the pizza guy who gave himself a tip
-shopping for dog treats galore
-random discussions on the way back home
-Shim and Fe picking me up from work
-Fe screaming when she heard me run Shimmer
-Shimmer's hops and jumps after runs
-loading the car from the motel in the pouring rain
-Shimmer winning the Red Hot Summer Challenge JH
-the chair that died :(
-freezing our asses off on day 1
-pizza for breakfast and every adult coming up to us with the WTF!? face
-Soda addictions 8D

Can't wait to do this again! Miss you guys sooo much.

Other people have the clips, and Devi didn't get many but sent them anyway so thank you Devi. :) These are all I have though. I used the pictures that were taken instead in some of the runs. If I ever get the other clips I'll try and upload them maybe..haha. Reliant fun weekend video will come later. Devi's computer somehow decides it wants to be a huge buttface and not work so she can't get the clips on her computer or send them to me.. D: Sadddd! Enjoy what I have here.
Anyway, Shimmy had her first three day show!!!! She did SOOOO freakin awesome. I'm proud of how well she kept it together. We had a few rough patches, but that's part of life and agility and I'm sure we'll work through them. Going to take a new approach to the dogwalk and try and train that so we have confidence and don't skip it 90% of the time. The touch and go run I let her run past it because I felt it would give her a choice and relieve her of the stress. Some people didn't think it would be a good idea since she'd learn to not take it, but Shimmer isn't like most dogs in SOOO many ways...and I don't think it affected her at all because the next day she did it perfectly. Go figure, my freak of a dog never stops surprising me. Thanks to everyone who filmed and took pictures regardless if I have the footage or not. Means a lot that we could capture the moments. :D Had an amazing time with Heidi (who is like my second mom for trials), Susan (my coach and neverending support to tell me to do what I want to do), Devi (one of the world's best filmers and someone who can put my dog in a good light any day), Kristen (someone I can always laugh with and have a good time around, Pixie and Shimmer are such dorkfaces...), and Giuliana (who captured my favorite run of the entire weekend that I hope you will get to watch sometime if I get it). :) Can't wait until August!!!

Shimmer did incredible. I was so proud of her. We hadn't shown in two months and she still tried so hard for me. Day one was better than Day two, because on Sunday I think she was starting to get sore. Since I don't have standard or snooker from Sunday you can't see it, but she was refusing contacts and I think she just didn't feel up to climbing all that crap haha. I'm going to try and hop into a class at a facility 20 minutes away from here one night next week and hope they use contacts, if not, it'll still be great practice before the 3 day NADAC. Good thing is, NADAC will provide lots of low contacts and training in the ring practice. Can't wait to hang out with some awesome people July 4th weekend. It was great to see some familiar faces at this show, and great to meet new ones.
Thank you to Heidi and Donna for filming us, and thanks to Megan for walking Advanced Snooker with me on Sunday to try and help me figure out every possible way to keep Shimmer from having to do the teeter which was being a brat about. :) Our new thing must be wait til it bangs and hop off the side...fun fun fun.
