About Me:
His father was the descendant of a Gabon King and Anguile lived where his ancestors stayed for generations. There he learned about his history and his culture. Washed by the wave of the Atlantic ocean, and right next to the great virgin forest of Equatorial Africa, his soul was filled with love for his country and continent. Music was part of life there. As early as 5 years old he would be listening to the 60s and 70s hit from the US and France as well as the local African versions of these songs.
Afro Jazz, Afro Rock, and all the party sounds from the Caribbean coming to the old continent and being adapted to African tastes.
Later in the 80s Anguile moved to Texas where he continued to be a DJ on jazz radio KNTU, studied film and television and participated in many musical projects as a videographer or producer. There in Denton Texas he met Rashani his now friend for the last 18 years and his producing partner on his first album Wisdom of the King.
Anguile, slowly built his vision and built a repertoire of songs and message that echoed Bobs, Martin and Ghandis message of love and hope.
Anguile then started travelling more in the US and Canada and met several other key collaborators like Winston Watson of the Meditations and Ed Robinson from Brooklyn, NewYork and Jamaica, who became instrumental in finishing his first album.
Anguile's African French - Roots Reggae is a unique blend of African and European reggae with a heavy dose of pure Jamaican roots. Anguiles soulful and spiritual sound will transport you to the coast of Africa and deep in the heart of the African Diaspora throughout the world.
Born mixed between Africa and Europe, Anguiles music reflects his mulatism by showcasing a strong anti racial message, a faith filled lyrics, and a very humanistic approach to living our life in the World together and in peace.
Anguile has started touring and performing in the US, and soon in Canada, with his own band the High-Steppers . When you see them live, Just let the music transport you to the coast of Gabon and Africa and enjoy!

Du Roots Franco Africain vibrant. Spirituel et chaleureux. Humain et sage. Intellectuel et philosophe. Politique sans politiquer. Tous ca décrit Anguilé, sa musique et sa personnalité.
Anguile vous donne lopportunité de découvrir et d'apprécier son âme et son esprit dans sa musique. Il la partage dans un style musicale qui l' on marque depuis sa jeunesse le Roots Reggae, avec des influences de musique Africaines ou de Jazz.
Anguile et tous dabord un vocalisateur, un chanteur. Initialement initie au chant par la découverte de son don pour créer des sons harmonieux et simple, l'expression très primaire des sentiments qui coulent à travers son corp. Avec l'âge il murie et il utilise ses mots pour toucher lâme de ses frères et sœurs dans le monde. Les histoires qu'il raconte son simples et universelles. Il parle de Dieu, de son expérience, de ses rencontres, de son histoire multiple en tant qu'Africain, Européen, et aussi d' Immigre aux USA, ou bien tous simplement de voyageur du monde.
Anguile espère que ses chansons toucherons votre cœur, que le rythme du reggae vous emportera dans un univers de paix ou vos pensees pourront être tranquilles, bercées par le soul de ce roots reggae africain qui a une âme. Vous y retrouverai des sons aussi anciens que les chants des pygmées, ou bien très simples comme le vent sur le bord de mer de sa Libreville natale au Gabon.
Anguile croit en Dieu, Jah pour les Rasta. Il est plus d'influence Judeo-Chrétienne que Rastafarienne, mais il ne dénigre pas que toute religion qui prêche la connaissance de Dieu et de Jesus Christ a une influence positive, apres tout c'est grace au message Bob qu'il est devenu Chretien. Toute religion qui preche la paix et la recherche de Dieu est aussi positive, car "Qui Cherche , Trouve".
La vie est une chose magnifique et Anguile la chérie et la respecte. Il est très inspiré par de grands leaders comme Martin Luther King ou bien Ghandi.
Anguile tourne aux US et au Canada avec son groupe "High Steppers" base pret de Albany NY. Il travaille aussi a partir de Montreal. Il y a aussi des plan de faire des shows en Europe et bien sure un jours en Afrique.
