Yuri remembers a beautiful woman calling name asking her to come over very long time ago. She wonders who that woman was.
Having just been dumped by a boyfriend of less than a year, Yuri is feeling depressed. Her friend suggests she looks for a good man, but she believes he would only seek a good woman who is gorgeous. She wishes she was born beautiful.
Yuri then returns home to discover her grandmother has suddenly passed away and she is being evicted out of her apartment. Everything seems bleek having no money or even a place to live when she receives a will. Letter reveals her mother is still alive and she is the famous actress. She even has siblings. Yuri decides to go to Hokkaido to live with them.
Hokkaido is covered in deep snow. She discovers her mother lives in a huge mansion and she has 3 siblings, Fuyou, Sumire and Aoi. They each have different fathers and Yuri's father was the third husband. Sumire and Aoi refuse to accept Yuri as their sister for being ugly while Fuyou seems to be the only one nice to her. Soon the mother appears and the sight of Yuri startles her for a moment. However, she brings out a hair scissors and cuts Yuri's long hair off.
Feeling miserable at night Yuri is in tears in her bed when Sumire appears. Unlike his cold attitude he's shown her earlier, he is gentle and Yuri would soon discover he has blue eyes by accident. Also, she hears he has a habit of being gentle to women when he gets drank from Fuyou the next day.
Everyday Yuri is busy being treated like a maid. Everyone in her family is self-centered and doesn't do any chores around the house. Fuyou refuses to lift her finger on anything and sleeps all day. Sumire has blue eyes, is a college and hates women. The one she has a hard time understanding is Aoi. Despite having to keep the house in order while catering to these people, it makes no sense why Yuri would not lose weight and she wonders if she is related to these people.
One night, Fuyou asks her to talk to Sumire and Yuri goes into his room. There she finds Aoi kissing their older brother, who is asleep. Fuyou explains they didn't all spend their childhood in this house, especially Aoi who came here at 14, and it's no surprise for him to fall in love with a family member. Then she warns Yuri could find herself in the same situation as well. Eventually, she discovers a blue-eyed boy she saw in a foreign film several years ago was Sumire from Fuyou's video collection and finds herself in despair for falling in love with him. Meanwhile, Granny, an old maid, returns from the hospital.
