This music was just before my time but my Mom would play this over and over when i was a kid growing up in brooklyn and it drove me crazy. but when i listen to this music today, I can honestly say that I cannot imagine my life without it and how i wish there were more like it today. Bass + Bernard!!! please! No brainer. I think the only one that came close to creating a bassline that has a definition within a track is Rick James. And even rick would give Bernard the props.
