@BermudaGreenNox Disclaimer, I'm not a mechanic. My understanding is that these engines are short stroke, large bore, which means that the vast majority of the power is at high RPMs, and those RPMs won't hurt the engine. Therefore, it really wouldn't make sense to have more gears at the same peak...
