About this user

I am Bryan Anderson. I was born in Arlington Heights, Ill., and raised in Rolling Meadows, Ill., about 20 miles north of Chicago. My parents are Jim & Janet, I have an identical twin brother, Bob, and a sister, Briana.

I attended Rolling Meadows High School, where Bob and I competed in gymnastics through all four years of high school. After graduating in 1999, I worked for three years for American Airlines before enlisting in the United States Army in the spring of 2001. The day I shipped out to Army Basic training was Sept. 11, 2001.

I served two tours in Iraq. The first was relatively uneventful, but I could tell right away the second tour was a more dangerous situation. After experiencing a few close calls involving explosives, My Humvee was destroyed by an Improved Explosive Device on Oct. 23, 2005, resulting in the loss of both of my legs and my left hand. Now I know that this was just one of life's experiences.

Today, I am retired from military service and I am the spokesperson for Quantum Rehab, a division of Pride Mobility Products. It's a role that suits me, allowing me to travel the country and meet new people, something I really enjoy.

Looking toward the future, I am pursuing a career in film, with an interest in acting and stunt work. I also want to continue to grow with Quantum Rehab, and want to work to ensure that all of the men and women who serve in United States military receive the proper recognition.

My passions are music (I'm rarely seen without my iPod attached, activated, and audible), and any sport I can get a rush from. I have been wakeboarding in Florida; tubing in Wisconsin and Texas; Whitewater rafting at the Grand Canyon; Skiing and Rock climbing and skeet shooting at Aspen, Colo; Snowboarding in Wisconsin, Ill., PA, and W.Va.
