Anchor Distilling, established in 1993, is dedicated to creating very small batches of traditionally distilled spirits of many types and styles. We also experiment with completely new products from time to time. Our small distillery is located on San Francisco's Potrero Hill, under the same roof as Anchor Brewing Co., brewers of Anchor Steam® Beer since 1896. In our video, distiller Fritz Maytag discusses the origins of America's first whiskey and our experiments at Anchor with rye malt and uncharred oak barrels, which led to the release of Old Potrero®. Old Potrero® Single Malt Whiskey, 62.3% Alc/Vol (124.6 Proof), and Old Potrero® Straight Rye Whiskey, 45% Alc/vol (90 Proof) are distilled, aged and bottled by Anchor Distilling Co., San Francisco, CA. Junipero Gin, 49.3% Alc/vol (98.6 Proof), is distilled and bottled by Anchor Distilling Co., San Francisco, CA. Distilled from 100% grain neutral spirits.
