An atheist doesn't need to prove to themselves or anyone else that there is a god. They don't wake up every morning and have to re-affirm their non-belief.

If I were to believe that god is a yellow-purple skunk riding a bicycle while flying through the sky singing "We will rock you" and Jesus lives in my yellow tea kettle during sunny days and relocates to the blue shoe when it rains, you would ask me for the proof and you would laugh at me if I said, "No, you prove that it's not true".
