@kev9089798767one thing to know is the film isnt the original. The off broadway musical had its debut in 1982, the film in 1986, the revival of the off broadway on debuted on broadway in 200. If you really love the musical, all three cast albums/soundtracks are worth owning.

@rumncoke2009 thats part of it, but a huge chunk of RHCP's inspirations was George Clinton and Parliament/Funkadelic. Heck..even Led Zepp admitted the Crunge was sort of an ode to James Brown and funk music in general. Get it right, homie!
