-he sang a solo from the play Molly Malone in 4th grade
-he was in orchestra in middle school
-he was guitarist for the high school jazz band
-he won the music award at graduation
-later was named MTV's artist of the week

He opened for Aly & AJ? I didn't know that! I do know that he is going to or has opened for the Jonas Brothers, and he has also opened for Eric Clapton, JoJo, and Hooty and The Blowfish. Pretty awesome, huh? And now to answer you other questions: no, I don't know him know him, but he comes from a pretty big family, and I go to school with his younger bro. And yes, it is a "small town" (not in the way of size, it's the biggest town in the state at 34 square miles, but has one of the smallest populations, at 13,000). So everyone in the town basically knows who he is. I seriously think he is gonna go even bigger soon. Like REALLY famous.
