This is from 'Whatever's for Us', which came out in 1972 and went nowhere commercially at the time, even though it included songs like this and was produced by Elton John's producer. It remains an obscure part of JA's catalogue.

Dang that 105!

Caribou has a bad reputation - even Elton apparently doesn't like it much - but what struck me about it when listening to it recently is how good it sounds to me. It's not quite at the level of "Yellow Brick Road" or "Captain Fantastic" but then not very many albums are.

I don't care for this song really but he sure does bring it to life here with his performance

Just goes to show that, though not prolific, Gilmour could write a great song every now and then (as if we didn't already know), and could even write good lyrics (see also "Childhood's End" from Obscured By Clouds).
