Hello Everyone, I am Amit from India. I have recently(May 6, 2008) started practicing on my Sitar. It's only been few days and I can tune my tarab strings perfectly, I was amazed by the fact myself but I guess it's the ear training I have recieved since I've been playing Guitar since 2000.
I've enjoyed mostly North Indian Classical Music since childhood, however I also enjoy South ICM but in some way I connect with North ICM much more. I don't know much about the Raga's or the Sitar techniques, but I am trying to learn through every possible source that I can find online. It's very hard to find a Guru in a small town that too in the States. So please excuse and help me if I make any mistakes in my recordings or comments.
