Discovering the English countryside through your videos has been a great experience. Your knowledge of the local bird life and birdsong is extensive and valuable and your interesting and sometimes amusing commentaries on the walks is second to none. Just wanted to say a big thank you for such a magnificent collection of films.

Hi Mark!

Apologies for the delay in responding...'tempus fugit!'
Yours is a difficult question to answer, as it really depends what you want from a walk? Unfortunately, you're now 'time bound', thanks to the clocks going back, so don't look beyond any 11 milers as you won't finish them (unless you start at 9 in the morning!)...The Weald, East Sussex/Kent area, is very popular with me as it's so peaceful; by contrast, I don't like walks that are near urban areas, as the 'raison d'etre' for walking is to escape them, and people!
So, not very helpful, but every walker has their own top five, and I can't comment until I've completed them all...

Hi Andrew

I just stumbled across your video of the Alton circular walk and really enjoyed it. I am planning on going for a walk this Saturday and was wondering whether you have any favourites amongst the time out vol 1 & 2. What would be your top five walks?

Thanks
Mark

Cheers Simon! Just like to keep a record of our lovely countryside for others to appreciate...and all within close proximity of 'The Smoke'! Will be back out there tomorrow, seeking a reasonably dry location for my next update; the West seems the best bet at the moment...
