She began her career as project leader at Mercedes Benz and manager Knowledge transfer at DainlerChrysler Corporate University. Then followed her interest in business by becoming a consultant first at the Boston Consulting Group in Dusseldorf and Cologne, then at the Beratergruppe Neuwaldegg in Vienna. A native Tunisian, Amel holds a Masters Degree in mechanical engineering from Karlsruhe University in Germany, works in Arabic, English, French and German.
