one day, a small bird fell from her nest. my sibling grabbed her. i loved her. i sit her in a box and waited for
her mother... but she never came. so i grabbed her and rocked her to sleep. the next morning she could even
walk! she jumped and tweeted and opened her mouth when she was ready for a worm. oh, what human
and animal love. Today..... she was jumping and singing and put her tiny head on my shoulder!
a few more hours my sister comes in and tells me to check on amelia. (my bird.) amelia
was twitching and her head would not stay up.
so i held her and brought her into the office.. i held her in my arms and sit down. she grasped my hand
with her tiny feet... she looked up and me and took her last breath of air and then...... she closed her
little eyes and died there in my arms... and in love.
