Alyce Santoro and Julian Mock explore sound's power to shape perception, mood, and atmosphere through a form of subtle, carefully honed listening. Alyce is a conceptual artist and musician with a background in science, and Julian is a composer of experimental music for classical guitar. Together their interdisciplinary "Projects for Prepared Ear" involve collecting, sampling, looping, layering, deconstructing and reconstructing rhythms and tones found in natural and industrial landscapes.
